Provident Centre

Located in Hong Kong’s Fortress Hill district, this residential interior project reimagines medieval modern aesthetics through a Nordic minimalist lens. The design intervention transforms a conventional apartment into a sophisticated living space where contemporary and historical elements coexist.

The material palette centers on earthy tones, incorporating walnut flooring, brass fixtures, and patterned tiles to create textural depth. Neutral shades of white, charcoal, and warm black establish a refined backdrop, while strategic pops of deep green and yellow introduce dynamic visual tension.

Architectural interventions include arched corridor doorways and curved glass kitchen doors framed in copper oxide-tinted metal. These elements, combined with natural rattan weaving and velvet upholstery, create a carefully curated balance between hard and soft surfaces.
