The Japandi apartment bathed in tranquil grey hues serves as a separation from the busy work and personal life. We express such intention through the transition from grey tiles to wooden flooring at the entrance area.

Based on the clutter-free principle, the redundancy on furniture’s appearance is eliminated; a hidden built-in shoe cabinet is employed to maintain the tidiness for example. Functionally, the minimalist cabinet in the living room also plays the role of a partition tool to reshape the living room’s diamond-shape into a rectangular form, which allows better usability of space. And through the same linear structure of cabinets, the consistent order connects the rooms and creates a sense of wholeness.
